Hallo Pam, Lovely to see you here on the blog. Hope you and Dave are keeping well. Paul and I keep meaning to get in touch with you more often but it always seems to be only the annual Christmas Card!! Hopefully now you've found the blog we can keep in touch more easily through it?

I have William and Eliza Jane up to the 1891 Census and have eight children for them. I haven't checked the later censuses, mainly because I end up doing more on my Read family! I do try to keep up with the Moyle research for Paul and feel very guilty sometimes as the Reads usually take over!

I'm thinking that perhaps now there's more available on Ancestry and Find My Past etc., I could check passenger lists and so on. What makes you think William went to America? Is this from things family have said or some research you have done? Do you know if he went with his wife and children? I think it very sad that he was never heard of again. Some feverish digging and delving is needed here I think. :-) I'm sure between us we can knock this brick wall down!!

Lots of love,

Chrissie and Paul

Hi Christine, just found this site today, and notice one or two very interesting Moyle topics. I saw the Brick Wall section, and thought I would mention William Moyle who was married to Eliza Jane Jordan, William was the brother of Johnson, and went overseas, was never heard of again. I think he went early 1900 as he is in the 1901 census, I thought he went to America, but have a brick wall. Pam
