I sadly have been neglecting my Dartnell ancestors (my dear Mum’s side of the family), so did not know that Eliza Curtis was a servant at the same club as Edward John. Thank you for that information and does that mean you are a descendant of Eliza’s? I am happy to compare notes if you would like that. Eliza Curtis was a servant there until their marriage in July 1851. Perhaps with the literary connections from the Atheneum club Edward got his job as a printer?
