Hallo Cousin Marion, Thanks for popping over to my blog. I think I will get in contact with my late cousin’s son. I was just a little hesitant in case no-one else in their family is into genealogy and maybe just disposed of my cousin’s research. Then again they might treasure it even if they are not into genealogy as such. I shall report back, once I have been in touch, to let you know how I get on.

I agree with Julie. Afterall, you had been in contact with your ‘new’ cousin; you shared an interest in family research; as well, of course, sharing the same family! I’m sure they’d be pleased to know that you care enough to ask.

Hallo Julie, Thanks for visiting today! I should ask I know, but of course I don’t want to upset my cousin’s family. I’m hoping that someone will have kept all the research or even be continuing it. I’m really hoping it hasn’t been disposed of as unwanted! I’m sure the other diary extracts will be so very interesting. I’ll see what I can find out!!

I think there is nothing to loose by tactfully saying that you had been sent a few pages and have anymore survived etc the worse they could say is no!
