I did hear from Naomi regarding the Stockwell War Memorial and you sister Sheila’s online petition. I was ready to post a piece about that here on the blog with some photos to help Sheila, but unfortunately due to some family commitments I just have not been able to get back to the blog for ages. I am hoping to sort out some routine that enables me to do my family history research, blog and so on, so will check how Sheila’s petition is going and will write something about it and the Memorial here on the blog as soon as I can. I’m so sorry that I wasn’t able to do it when I originally said I would.

Sorry to hear that things haven’t been so good for you but hopefully you are feeling much better now and that you also have your computer sorted out.

I have had some “new” cousins contact me through the blog this year, from some of the lines I am researching, but because of some family stuff going on, I haven’t checked any info or been in contact with many people, so will need to check again to see if the “new” cousins are connected to the Dartnells and will let you know.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before I can get back into some sort of routine that lets me keep in touch with you and my other family and friends.

Thank you for the correction – it’s good to have information right!! The person I received my info from has sadly since died so I can’t pass this correction onto them.

It is the only photo I have for this family and the only photo I have that shows Ridgmont or Brogborough, so I can’t help you with other photos of the place.

Its been a while now since we corresponded and have just rediscovered your blog. Some how every thing seemed to go wrong for me last year what with suffering Pneumonia and later suffering badly from my Chemo therapy treatment. At the same time I lost all my computer data. photo’s contact details, in fact everything was lost and only recently have reloaded my computer and started to regain some of the lost data.

It would appear that you have added so much more to your blog since I was last able to view it. Have any other Dartnell’s or people related to my ancestors family trees contacted you?

Anyway I look forward to learning more about my family line.
