Hallo Bob,

I just answered a later comment of yours, and again apologise for my very late response to this and your other comment.

I did hear from Naomi regarding the Stockwell War Memorial and you sister Sheila's online petition. I was ready to post a piece about that here on the blog with some photos to help Sheila, but unfortunately due to some family commitments I just have not been able to get back to the blog for ages. I am hoping to sort out some routine that enables me to do my family history research, blog and so on, so will check how Sheila's petition is going and will write something about it and the Memorial here on the blog as soon as I can. I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to do it when I originally said I would.

Lots of love,

Christine

Hallo Neil,

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your very interesting comment. I apologise for the very long delay in answering this but sent you an email a while ago so hope you received that? I've not been able to do any family history research for a while now due to family commitments but am hoping that I can work out a routine where I can have some time to get back into my research. Hopefully we can compare research notes soon and I can find out more about Crown Leys following the info you have given.

Kind regards,

Christine

Hallo George,

It's my turn to apologise for the extremely long delay in replying to your comment here. Thanks for visiting and for your comment. I think you have a very interesting line to follow there!! I've not been able to do any family history research for a while due to family commitments but hopefully soon I can sort out a routine that lets me do some research and I will try to see if we can come up with some ways for you to find some more definite information about your ancestors.

I hope all is well with you and yours.

Kind regards,

Christine

Hallo Bob,

Thank you for visiting the blog, it's lovely to hear from you and I must apologise for the long delay in replying. I have badly neglected this blog for a while and offer an explanation in a post today.

Sorry to hear that things haven't been so good for you but hopefully you are feeling much better now and that you also have your computer sorted out.

I have had some "new" cousins contact me through the blog this year, from some of the lines I am researching, but because of some family stuff going on, I haven't checked any info or been in contact with many people, so will need to check again to see if the "new" cousins are connected to the Dartnells and will let you know.

Hopefully it won't be too long before I can get back into some sort of routine that lets me keep in touch with you and my other family and friends.

Lots of love,

Christine

Hallo Jake, Thanks for visiting my blog and for commenting about this photo. My apologies for the long delay in replying!! I was given that photo several years ago and was told that it was regarding the marriage of my ancestor Mary Elizabeth Humphreys who lived at Brogborough Park Farm, Ridgmont. I was also told that the photo was more than likely taken at Brogborough!

Thank you for the correction - it's good to have information right!! The person I received my info from has sadly since died so I can't pass this correction onto them.

It is the only photo I have for this family and the only photo I have that shows Ridgmont or Brogborough, so I can't help you with other photos of the place.

Thanks again for your visit.

Kind regards,

Christine (rootsresearcher)

I was interested in the photo of the wedding, you mention the wedding at Brogborough, could be wrong but it looks very much like Ridgmont with the wedding taking place at Ridgmont All-Saints Church. I also noticed this picture is in your collection, I'd be interested to know if you've any more photos of Ridgmont in your collection. Many thanks

Hi Christine

Its been a while now since we corresponded and have just rediscovered your blog. Some how every thing seemed to go wrong for me last year what with suffering Pneumonia and later suffering badly from my Chemo therapy treatment. At the same time I lost all my computer data. photo's contact details, in fact everything was lost and only recently have reloaded my computer and started to regain some of the lost data.

It would appear that you have added so much more to your blog since I was last able to view it. Have any other Dartnell's or people related to my ancestors family trees contacted you?

Anyway I look forward to learning more about my family line.

My very best wishes to you
