Today is the Wedding Anniversary of Ann Read who married James Burte in Caversham, Oxfordshire in 1714. Ann is the Aunt of my 6 x great grandfather Cozens Read and she is the youngest of eight children, after an eleven year gap!!
I know the gap did not produce more children for Ann’s parents, as her mother’s Will names 7 of her 8 children (one child died several years before the Will was made), so there don’t seem to be more I should be looking for!
Ann was born in Caversham in 1692 but I think after her marriage to James they maybe moved away as I have only so far found a couple of children and no burials for either Ann or James. Unfortunately, apart from the marriage, I know nothing else about James Burte!!
