Wordless Wednesday: Edward John Dartnell

Edward John Dartnell is my great uncle.  There is not a lot to tell about him as he died aged 32 years old.  He was born in 1885 in Lambeth, Surrey and died in 1917 in Southwark, Surrey.

I somehow wish that I had asked my Grandmother about Edward while she was still with us.  No-one else in the family is alive who would have known him or anything about him.  I find this very sad.

  1. That is sad. At least there is a photograph for you to remember him and share – so he is not forgotten.

    • Hallo Theresa, Thank you for your comment and for visiting my blog. I am very happy to have this photograph of Edward. I also have one other of him, there are only the two pics that I know of. My (now) 100 year old Aunt gave them to me as she knew I would treasure them.

I think it is so sad that there is no-one who knows anything about him. I just hope although he died young, that he had a happy life.

      Kind regards,

      Christine (rootsresearcher)
