ATKINS and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

BURGESS/BURGES and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire (mainly around Great Haseley, Little Haseley, Great Milton). I am interested in all dates where they appear.

BURTE/BURT and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

BUTS/BUTTES/BUTTY and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire and most definitely any strays appearing elsewhere! I am interested in all dates where they appear.

CLIFFORD/CLIFORD/CLIFFARD and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear, particularly the 1600s, 1700s and 1800s.

COZENS/COSENS and all variants: mainly in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire but also Berkshire, London and Hertfordshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

FAIRBROTHER and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear, particularly 1600s and 1700s.

GLOVER and any variants (haven’t come across many variants): mainly Oxfordshire particularly Bix and Assendon. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

GRACE and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates they appear, particularly the 1600s, 1700s and 1800s.

HIGGINS and any variants: mainly in the Emberton area of Buckinghamshire, but also Buckinghamshire generally and Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire and of course any strays anywhere else. I am interested in all dates but mainly the 1700s.

HILLIARD and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire and any strays appearing elsewhere. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

HOOTEN and all variants: mainly in the Hardmead, Emberton and Gayhurst areas of Buckinghamshire but anywhere else in Buckinghamshire too and any strays appearing anywhere else. I am interested in all dates they appear but particularly the 1600s and 1700s.

LAVENDER and all variants: mainly in Buckinghamshire but I am interested to discover where else they may be. I am interested in all dates they appear but particularly the 1600s and 1700s.

LOVEGROVE/LOVGROVE and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

LOVEJOY/LOVJOY and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

POLLARD and all variants: mainly Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

READ/READE/REDE and all variants: mainly in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire but also London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Huntingdonshire too. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

ROSE and all variants: mainly Buckinghamshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear.

SHEPHERD/SHEPHARD and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am particularly interested in those appearing in the 1700s and 1800s.

SHIRLEY/SHIRLY/SHURLY and all variants: mainly Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear but mainly the 1600s and 1700s.

TANNER and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire. I am interested in all dates they appear, particularly the 1700s and 1800s.

TURNER and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I am interested in all dates where they appear particularly the 1700s.

TYNNEY/TINNEY and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire and any strays appearing elsewhere! I am interested in all dates where they appear and am particularly looking for a READ/TYNNEY (including variant spellings) marriage in the early 1600s.

WHITE/WHIT/WHYTE and all variants: mainly Oxfordshire and Berkshire and any strays appearing elsewhere! I am interested in all dates where they appear.

    Iam researching both the Pollard and Clifford surnames as my father was a Clifford and my mother a Pollard. Please contact me and perhaps we can share info.

    • Hallo Hazel, Thanks for your comment and for visiting my blog. I sent you an email a day or two ago regarding our shared Pollards. I hope you received it.

      As far as I know, the Cliffords I have are not related to the Pollards, but through my Reads in Oxfordshire. I think I mentioned in my email that three of my Read siblings (children of my 6 x great grandfather Cozens Read of Lower Winchendon) married three Pollard siblings. I don’t have a great deal of Pollard info but am happy to share what I have with you.

      Could you let me know if you received my email please?
